Most people have heard that you can build your own quality telescope - but how's it done?  David Hornsby will explain...
David will be mentioning all 12 components needed to build up a working instrument, but focusing (excuse the pun) on the key one, the mirror, and how it's possible to make one to the exacting standards needed to get a 1st class image. David will bring along lots of thing used in mirror making, and there will be a small individual experiment for everyone to try.

For those who have an observatory, Bob Okines will also describe methods for controlling it.  Using negative feedback Bob will explain how you can synchronise the dome with the telescope.
