Supernovae ~ Dr. Robert Smith: Emeritus Reader in Astronomy @ the University of Sussex

Robert will give an introduction to what supernovae are, with some historical background, and a discussion of the mechanisms, of the remnants (with pretty pictures) – with particular reference to the Crab nebula and pulsars – and of their role in producing the chemical elements.
